Global Warming?!

There 2 types of people in the liberal movement. Those trying to get power by leveraging a desired result that practically all people approve (in this case the environment) and do gooders who convert to their causes. Of course we all want the environment to be pristine and gorgeous and the planet healthy.

Liberals confuse their motives with results. I dare any liberal to show one social program that has accomplished what it was created for: any poverty ended, health care system or retirement program not bankrupted? Yet we hear the same tired arguments for these programs that have failed in any country, or state they have been attempted (bailout for California anyone?).

The liberal leadership doesn't necessarily believe their causes, but they are a means to an end. Politicians are willing to take away our freedoms to solve the problems created by the selfish, greedy, and the power hungry (or so they say). Is that ironic to anyone??? The most selfish, greedy power hungry people of any society are the politicians, and they say the solution is to give them more power and money.

Global warming's goal is more power for the government. Just as Rahm Emanual said: Let no crisis go to waste...this time they just invented their own crisis.

  1. I believe the proper term is 'climate change.' Studying the terminology that different viewpoints use is interesting because it shows you what they emphasize; pro-life, pro-choice, etc. The recent switch to 'climate change' shows an attempt to capture any variation in weather as evidence that something needs to be done, because there was not enough consensus earlier. There is significant proof that this is so:

Politicians and lawyers realize that scientists, like everyone else, can be lured to a cause; offer the carrot of cleaner evironments, more wildlife protection, etc., and even a mediocre theory can get great following. However, the global warming hypothesis wasn't true enough.

I also agree with you on giving more power into politician's hands. I wrote about it in my only blog post (I hope to add more later!):

  2. All politicians, or just liberal politicians? You lost me a bit in that paragraph. Thoreau was on to something-- that government which governs best governs least.

  3. I like that quote by Thoreau. Jessi, my post applies to all politicians no matter their party affiliation.
